10. Sons of Apathy
Going right back to the early days and first record ‘All Our Kings Are Dead’, the 10th spot goes to song ‘Sons of Apathy’, a song that was the title track from that particular album and highlights the raw sound that Young Guns once had.
With stunning guitars and drumming, this song had to make it to the list.
9. Memento Mori
Back again to the most recent release, ‘Memento Mori’, which translates to ‘Remember, you must die’ in Latin, steals the ninth spot on the list.
With its terrific bass line and catchy, melodic sound, it really shows how the band have progressed and will remain a fan favourite for years to come.
8. Towers (On My Way)
A song taken from second album ‘Bones’, ‘Towers’ is a song that is fast paced, hard hitting and has a fantastic acoustic version.
With it being one of the British band’s harsher sounding songs, this has to go on the list.
7. Dearly Departed
Another one from second record ‘Bones’, ‘Dearly Departed’ is a catchy rock song which is easy to listen to on the first try.
With it having a catchy melody in the chorus and overall good sounding instrumentals, the song manages to score a high spot on the list.
6. Daylight
Back to recent release ‘Ones and Zeros’, ‘Daylight’ is a feel good song which you can’t help to sing along to.
With a really hard hitting chorus and overall fantastic sound and feel to the song (not to mention the incredible music video) this song falls just short of the top five.
5. Rising Up
Kicking off the top five is yet another feel good song.
With its booming bass and overall raw rock sound, ‘Rising Up’ is a power rock song which really motivates you and with its overall appeal, it deserves its spot.
4. Stitches
The highest entry from a song taken from ‘All Our Kings Are Dead’, ‘Stitches’ is a song with powerful lyrics, great build-ups and guitar riffs, and retains the distorted sound that Young Guns once had.
With it being a real classic, it narrowly misses out on the top three.
3. You Are Not
Powerful song ‘You Are Not’ is the first entry into the top three.
With its soft, melodic verses and hard hitting chorus and incredible bridge, this song really is fantastic.
Not to mention lyrically it is probably the best song the band have released and the music video is one of the coolest out of any band out there at the moment, making this song a great one to kick off the crème de la crème.
2. I Want Ou
The first single released from ‘Ones and Zeros’ and one of the more popular songs the band has released, ‘I Want Out’ was great for the summer festivals in 2014 and really got people excited for the new album.
With its clean sound, it highlights how the band has evolved and deserves its spot just shy of number one.
1. Bones
Simple, catchy and anthem like are the best ways to describe this song.
Used as part of WrestleMania 29 and often regarded as the Young Guns catapult song for the surge of popularity the band gained upon its release, it would be a crime to the band to not put this one at the top of the tree.
Everything about the song is fantastic and it even has a guitar solo that the greats would appreciate.
Oh, and check out the acoustic version of it, a version that captures the emotion of the song in a different light.
